Review: I was 16 when the original American Pie came out. It was a film that spoke to me a lot. It was my generation Ridgemont High, you could say. The heirs also had a lot of fun. But to say that the series does not wear yourself thin would be an understatement. And do not even get me started on the direct DVD creation. However, American Reunion surprised me a few trailers and a fun nostalgia grabbed me by the balls. Having had the opportunity to see an early diagnosis, I am pleased to say that this is the series I remembered it being.Theres nothing too out of the norm in the American Pie film series. We believe the original cast live the life of ten years after the original film. Jim and Michelle are married to some of the problems and raise a child. Stiffler work temp jobs, dealing with the boss hole. Finch is kind of a mystery. Oz is a big blow sportscaster with a supermodel girlfriend. And Kevin is at home wife slash architect. The group returns to her high school reunion and reconnect with each other and their fellow classmates. But this is a film that is as much an audience like this, because it is our favorite foursome. As mentioned, the film is notable plot point. Unlike the previous film is the final stage excellent cling. There is not a goal to lose virginity than the first film, find true love, the second film is a success or a wedding like the third film. Instead, these characters just deal with being back in his hometown, and his personal issues.If anything, the film is very nostalgic. Its full of characters and situations, which is reminiscent of earlier films. It still manages to surprise many of his antics from the boys to get out of some tight spots awkward, Jim once again find themselves in a very embarrassing situation. Heck we even have some really surprising moments are also a lot of laugh out loud. But the audience who grew up on these movies, it's like a trip down memory lane. Its nice to see all of your favorite characters return for all of the main cast are underused. Even watching characters like Oz and Vicky, whose real-life counterparts havent had many careers, from the American Pie movies is a pleasure to see again. And they all do a great job of reprising these characters. Best of all, the movie is fun, with plenty of laugh out loud moments.My biggest qualm film is its lack of a strong central government plot. Nostalgia only goes so far, and there's really nothing here to cling to form something that these characters work. In comparison, the ubiquitous target boys lose their virginity. Here's his personal problems seem meager. Yes, Jim and Michelle are having problems, but you never feel like it wont work out. Knowing these signs, you already know that they love each other. The same applies to most of the others, so you always feel like coming out on top. This is despite a few surprises. And the whole movie revolves around the up coming reunion, an event that does not seem to have much influence on the direction that these characters take, theres never a real character growth. Instead, you're just hanging out with the guys again, they are looking to get into trouble.But it's okay. It's okay, because the film is entertaining. Much of what happens is similar to the sort of humorous situations in other films. There are some truly laugh out loud moments and surprises have you howling. Despite my nostalgic interest in the film, I found some really fun and surprising moments. For fans, this should be a no brainer. The film is definitely worth it.
