Review: Directed by Ridley Scotts well-honed talents of pacing and editing create a tense atmosphere that provides a great horror and fear of the unknown, unseen evil entity. In 1979, the technology did not exist to create a computer image to be from another world, and the glory of God, because this movie is going to suck, like all those post-alien creature features make. Everyone who loves this film knows what they are saying. Ridley Scott had to be very careful that we do not show the full shot of the alien, except for a very short scenes, and not to disclose exactly how it moves, because then we would see that it is just a tall, thin man in a rubber suit . Today, some computer guy will whip up a really scary-looking, but still Fake-form (so that computer scientists can tell) Alien, and the director should not even think about trying to breathe life into the HR Gigers hallucinations to a successful picture. The dark, cold beauty of this film has never been equaled.
