Review: My wife and I were in high school in 1980 and we loved this movie. So the story is not Academy Award material, but it was the most fun we had at the movies in a while. Music of the 80s is not an original work but still doing well and put on top of the film. Tom Cruise is a joke in his role (think Axl Rose) and others werent bad. Small cameos and some rock star of the 80s. I saw some reference to its similarity with grease and his portrayal of the 1950s. I think it's a good comparison. Again, if you are not a fan of the 80s, you probably will not like that too. But if you like '80s and his music, you'll probably enjoy this movie and leave with a smile.
